Do Divorcees Make You Uncomfortable?

What is your reaction when you hear a couple is getting divorced? Do you shy away from them because you do not know what to say or do? Are you afraid that if it happened to them it could happen to you? When you hear a couple is having marital problems do you avoid them or try to offer support?

If you are a happily married person, chances are you have faced some challenges in your marriage over the years. If you are a Christian, do you feel you have to appear “perfect”, or appear that you have marriage all figured out? Or, are you able to be authentic with people and openly share your struggles and how you worked through them?

Finding support in the Christian community for people struggling in their marriages, going through a divorce or after a divorce can be challenging. If people in these situations make you uncomfortable, I invite you to come join Lynne Lee, Christian Life Coach and myself today at 3pm (EST) 8pm (U.K.) as we discuss Christians and divorce. We will talk about ways you can come alongside others going through divorce to support them. If you are a person going through a divorce, or recently gone through a divorce, Lynne and I will be discussing various resources available for support.

To register for this free event, click here. We hope you can attend the live event, if not, go ahead and register and you will receive access to the recording. In my next post I will list some of the resources we will be discussing today. If you have questions you would like answered, feel free to email me at shelley@ahopefilledfuture.com, or leave a comment below. If I am not able to answer your question on the call, I will answer it in a blog post.
